Deflection Objection

Dateline:   The Medicaid Marsh, April 15, 2025

With an increasingly loud drumbeat, Democrats claim that Trump’s debt and tax reduction goals will force a cut in Medicaid benefits. Republicans deny that cuts will be made insisting that DOGE efficiencies will reduce costs sufficiently.

There’s no current litmus test to determine the truth of it.  It is certain that benefit reductions with hurt Trump perhaps irrevocably.

Also without doubt is the fact billions of dollars in Medicaid benefits are currently spent on immigrants who enter the Country in violation of federal law. As well, it is true that very few, if any, Democrats speak against this gross misuse of entitlement funds.

Some Democrats attempt to justify illegal immigration by claiming that our industries, and citizens by extension, benefit from an influx of unskilled labor. If that’s correct, those who wish should have no difficulty in obtaining seasonal work visas.

But luring millions of unvetted illegals with the promise of “entitlement” benefits, as Biden did, is not about temporary jobs.  It’s about building perpetual power through importing a huge new crop of Democrat voters irrespective of their ineligibility to vote and the threat they pose to the security of our citizens.

So, Democrats prefer to maintain entitlement benefits to illegals through higher taxes and deeper debt. Rather than advocating that position directly, they object to Trump’s budget proposals by claiming benefits will be cut. In a companion fight, they also vigorously oppose attempts to require citizen i.d.s to vote.

We have some very messed up leaders in Congress. If this deflection succeeds, voters aren’t paying attention.
