Our Mission

Entertain Your Left Brain

The mission of the Letters From Us website is to provide social satire and commentary from the perspectives of the left brain and the political center. Our offerings include comics, blogs, headline reviews and other entertaining features. We poke fun at the lives we lead, our politics, our science, our psyches, our humanness.

Why left-brain satire? We aim to attract everyone who enjoys thought-provoking entertainment on the web, and the left brain excels at analytical thinking. It’s also really fun to examine the elements of life in general and put them back together to create a different view of the whole.

And the view our analysis shows us most often is the center. So, extreme views aren’t advocated on our pages. There are plenty of websites that offer polarizing views as entertainment. Comics to the left of us. Blogs to the right. They are easily found with just a few keystrokes in a google search.

Our entertainment is centrist. To those who believe that centrism is unprincipled, middle of the road accommodation, we disagree. Our system of government is one of multiple branches, created to guarantee the checks and balances necessary to keep us on the straight and narrow. The same is true of centric policies and principles. So, we advocate them.

This does not mean that we take no positions and only make fun of others. Because it isn’t productive to merely complain, we suggest a few solutions, too. But, our site does not support the views of a particular political party. We sometimes mention people by name, but not very often. The point is to present ideas rather than making fun of individuals, although, sometimes, it just can’t be helped.

While entertainment is our theme, we also endorse animal welfare causes. Sidney and Riley, the main characters on our pages, exist in real life. They are loved and cared for with the same measure of devotion that millions of humans give their furry companions every day.

People from all walks of life and with differing political views always seem to come together in support of the animals in their lives. So, we offer pages dedicated to the discussion of animals and their welfare. Our products also advance that cause rather than our humor.

Our Comics

Letters From Us^® Web Comics

Letters From Us^® is a web-based comic strip created and published by Endgame Enterprises, LLC. Letters pokes good-natured fun at the cultural topics of the day through the eyes of two distinctly different dogs with very human personalities. Sidney, the female, seeks to advance human knowledge through intellectual pursuits. Her favorite places are her study and her lab, where she conducts scientific research. She’s mild-mannered and outwardly directed, and endless tolerant of her brother’s eccentricities. She is never seen without her trademark glasses.

Riley, although Sidney’s male littermate, is very different in his outlook. In his world, there is only Riley and his adoring human fans. He thinks of other things only when enticed by his sister. And, when he does, he measures most everything by his own standard of excellence. His favorite possession is a full-length mirror. Also occasionally seen with him are his “boys”, inanimate, stuffed replicas of himself. His life goal is to become famous for being Riley.

Together, Sidney and Riley offer a view of the human world unique among web comics.

*The scientific studies described in the comics are actual and current. Most are taken from Science Daily.

Our Blogs

Blogs From Us

Our blogs are always on current topics of the day, and they fall into the same categories as our comics. But, they are written mostly from a dog’s point of view. Actually, from the views of two different dogs. Sidney’s blogs have an intellectual slant. Riley’s are written from an egocentric vantage point.

They don’t necessarily differ in their opinions, but the characters express themselves in distinctly different ways.
